DR. BRUCE AND CHERYL WEEMS LAB SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP

Fall Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student with a declared major within the lab sciences or clinical medical sciences. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and preference is given to students classified as sophomore or junior. Dr. Weems service to East Central University began in 1972, first as a physics professor and later physics department chair. He was dean of ECU’s College of Health and Sciences from 1991 until his retirement in 2014. His 42 years of service to the University helped many students, faculty members and department chairs with every aspect of science education during his tenure. This scholarship was established by his family in his honor.
