CAROL DEARMAN BROWN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Fall Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to a Junior or Senior level student majoring in Elementary Education.  Mrs. Brown obtained her Elementary Education degree from East Central in 1970.  She went on to serve in the classroom as an educator for almost fifty years.  Despite having long been eligible for retirement, but because she loved students, she continued to teach.  She contracted Covid-19 while teaching just a couple of weeks before the vaccine became available and succumbed to the illness.  This scholarship is given in recognition of her sacrifice and in honor of her passion for teaching.
